Last Saturday I headed up the road to my local nail salon with Phoebe, a long-time pal from school, to get a fresh mani/pedi.
We ended up spending just over three hours in there: laughing, gossiping and debating over who we’re voting for in the General Election (we’re eclectic conversationalists).
Phoebe opted for a short glossy gel manicure in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. A gorgeous gun metal grey with flecks of glitter. I don’t have a picture of her mani sadly but I do of the shade she chose above.
I went slightly more OTT. I decided to try out almond nails with two glittery gold accent nails, with a deep purple on the rest of my fingers. I’m so happy with them – although typing has been a bit challenging this week…
My shades are OPI’s classic Lincoln Park After Dark and the gold accent nail is a OPI gel polish called My Favourite. Next time I’m keeping the nail shape and length but I might opt for a classic nude colour to change it up.

Oh wow I actually love them! I really like glossy black on nails, think it looks so sophisticated! Gutted I work full time now so nail polish is a rarity!

Thanks – I love it too! Shame that you can’t wear it, can you do subtle nudes or is polish a no-no?
